Berkeley Heights is located in Union County, New Jersey. Berkeley Heights has over 13,000 residents as of the 2007 United States Census.

Located in downtown Berkeley Heights you will find the local municiple buildings, police station, food stores, a movie theater and many more small shops. A brick walk with personalized bricks engraved with the names of many long-time Berkeley Heights residents runs from near the railroad station towards Kings grocery store. A memorial to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks adjoins a wooded area alongside Park Avenue, just southwest of downtown.
The Berkeley Heights Public Schools serves over 2,815 students in six district schools.
Located in Berkeley Heights are many municipal parks, including the largest one, Columbia Park (located along Plainfield Avenue). Columbia Park boasts tennis courts, two baseball fields, basketball courts, and a large children's play area. There are three Swimming clubs located in Berkeley Heights: the Berkeley Heights Community Pool, the Berkeley Swim Club and Berkeley Aquatic.


The Berkeley Heights train station is part of the New Jersey Transit commuter rail system, serving Hoboken, Newark Station and Penn Station in Manhattan. 
Berkeley Heights is served by Interstate 78.

Newark Liberty International Airport is approximately 18 miles east of Berkeley Heights.
